Case Study – Polish National Foundation

The Polish National Foundation approached Harissa PR to provide PR & event management support for the inaugural promotional trip of the state funded ‘I LOVE POLAND’ yacht to Plymouth. The yacht is an educational & sporting project which supports young Polish sailors launching an international competitive sailing career & aims to promote Polish sailing worldwide.

Harissa provided PR, social media & marketing support. We led the organisation & management of multiple promotional events & engaged third party providers such as designers, speakers & photographers. We also liaised with local dignitaries, international press & Polish embassy representatives to support publicity for the PR visit.

Harissa generated & managed press for the National Polish Foundation achieving PR in local & national printed press. We secured coverage with BBC Radio Devon & BBC Spotlight. The visit was featured by sailing & yachting press & bloggers. Polish TV Radio & TV stations also attended the live events. Social media for the visit achieved a reach of over 50k across our platforms.

Case Study – Mayflower Marina

Harissa PR was thrilled to be invited to provide PR, marketing and social media support for Mayflower Marina.  We were tasked with building recognition of the brand and providing engaging content for customers, community and B2B, through combined communications activity, including PR, marketing, video, print and social media channels.

We were asked to aid with the specific Marina PR and event management for Polish Sailor, Szymon Kuczynski. Szymon achieved a new sailing world record when he circumnavigated the globe and started and completed his voyage at Mayflower Marina.  We provided extensive PR and social media support around the event at the Marina. We generated and managed press coverage, which included the attendance of local, national and international journalists, photographers, plus international TV and radio coverage of the live event.

The coverage achieved by our press campaign was a huge success with Szymon achieving top UK Twitter trending status on the day and a reach of over 150k across other social media platforms. Articles featured in The Times, Yachting Monthly, Yachting World, Voiles et Voilers, APN news, over 20 online publications, Plymouth Herald, Western Morning News, Polish National Radio, Polish TV stations TVN and TVP Polonia to name just a few!

Case Study – OllyLolly

Our brief for OllyLolly was to actively raise the profile of this eco-friendly ice lolly company, who specialise in handmade, fresh fruit ice popsicles. OllyLolly is a relatively new wholesale business and was ripe for a sprinkling of PR magic and energetic injection of marketing planning.  Our aim was to build an awareness of the brand with both consumers and B2B, using strong messaging about the offer from the client.

We used a blend of traditional media relations and social media engagement to boost OllyLolly’s brand, targeting both local and national press, food and vegan publications, bloggers, lifestyle magazines, as well as maximising social media streams. We led our press campaign with a number of releases about the clients plastic free ethos, being selected by Mitch Tonks to form part of his Rockfish Restaurant menu and the invite to sell to A-listers backstage at Glastonbury ’17. We also promoted OllyLolly featuring in the Devon Cook Book and debuting their lollies for sale across a number of London theatres, including The Old Vic, where they were handpicked by the Artistic Director, Matthew Warchus after he tasted them on holiday in Cornwall!

The response to our OllyLolly promotion was extremely positive for the client and achieved strong engagement with new stockists, consumers and media alike. Harissa PR successfully placed several features in local publications including the Herald and Western Morning News. Coverage for OllyLolly and their founder was also secured in Manor Magazine, Devon Life, Coast Magazine, Crumbs Magazine, Vegan News, Plymouth Magazine and Muddy Stilettos Devon to name but a few.  Olly Lolly has been shortlisted as a finalist for Best Small Business of the Year in the 2019 Venus Business Awards. As a direct result of the PR campaign an impressive number of of enquiries led to increased business and sharp increase in local and national awareness of the brand.

We’ve re-discovered retro summers with Ollylolly
